I use the stylus from my phone to dig it out and now my dog gags every time it sees the stylus. If you get deep enough to trigger the cough reflex you're going way too deep.

my dad used to use bobby pins. what made me gag was sucking them clean afterwards.

cats love that shit tho.

i just use a thin pair of scissors and have a real good scratch around.

I already made the appointment for tomorrow. But I'll keep this in mind for future reference. Thanks.

I have something that my neighbor (she's an RN) called a 'scoop' for infants' ears. The functional end looks like an ice cream scoop but is only 1/16" in diameter. IMO, it does a great job of scooping wax out of the canal but won't go deep enough to get to the ear drum.

As an aside - does anyone still do that 'burn in tube' thing in the ear anymore to clean their ears?

I think that's called ear candling...

I think it only works on asian powder ear wax.

no because wicking is fucking retarded and dangerous.

A good reminder not to use headphones too much.

I use them whenever I workout at the gym which has been everyday for the last 80 days straight pretty much.

Yikes. That'll do it. Try this thing: https://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Headphones-Perytong-Ultra-Thin-Meditation/dp/B07SHBQY7Z Only $20 and won't leave you with blocked ear canals.

I got a pair of over the ear headphones to use now.

I think someone would press the buttons... Lol.

Get a clean old white sock - make sure it is clean, fill it with fine salt, table salt or cooking salt is fine. - say about a cup of salt should be enough. tie it off to enclose it.

microwave it for a few minutes until it gets hot. (not superheated, just warmer than warm)

lay it down on your pillow, put your ear to it - lay there for 10-15 minutes., and let the heat in the sock melt your ear wax. it will likely make a mark on the white sock so you know it worked.

re-heat it, do the other ear.

the salt wants to be wet so it absorbs and draws out the melting wax, the heat melts all the wax.

you will feel better in no time at all and all for the cost of an old sock and some salt.

Bonus, is if you only fill the bottom part of the sock and tie it off properly, it can be used to beat liberal sjw types.

Word, two for one. Sounds like a plan.

am i the only cunt around here who cleans his ears on a regular basis and has never had them blocked with wax?

fucking dumbass ex fiancee used to complain constantly about struggling to hear out of her left ear... until one day she leaned her head over in the right way and shit dropped out.

How do you regularly clean them?

Tell me about it. One time I went to the doctor and he used that water pick and a huge lump fell out like the size of a cheese curd.

I got one of those shower heads with the different settings and use the high powered stream in my ears every time I shower. It's a good preventative measure. Haven't had a problem since and I keep SwimEar (IPA) drops in case the water gets stuck in my ears after that.

what was that about your proctor?
