"Washington's Men" through these centuries that I've walked a shadow of my self What I've loved, what I've lost what I've left behind. memories upon the shelf
And through the turning pages of eras come and gone Watched cities, from cabin to brick to gleaming steel crumble to the wilderness and the wind.
Witnessed empires rise, and nations fall into disrepair and disrepute And all throughout the years gone by Gone from golden ages back to dark ages given over to corrupt congressmen and mobs of brutes who kill and loot.
All these ages have I seen All these years have come and gone But never will I accept our fate, The 2020 election fraud.
All these ages have I seen All these years have come and gone But never will I accept our fate, Till upon america a new day dawns.
Though cold were we in our day Our feet frozen, our shoes ate Force marched a month without pay To cross by night that fateful icy river spray Across ice, and peril, and silent prayer The battlefield foundation that, rubicon, laid claim by blood, may we never forget, this great nation, was made.
No matter how the law may lay her low. Let liberty ring with fury her bell steadfast In the night which has covered over you and this nation, whos enemies now amassed with lies, and spies, and citizens downcast, and jackboots arrayed with arms and subterfuge Still let liberty ring her last And rally you, in your final moments, to stand your ready, and make of humble servicemen, giants, huge, in heart and holdfast this truth We will have liberty, or we will have an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
At the shining of that brilliant day, when you should at last awake! And finally rise, as of the ghosts of D-day, standing in awe, at the dawning of liberty upon open skies, no longer swayed by fear, or hope, or tyrants law, but hardened hearts, and dour gaze The battles near won, the cavalry has come, Washington marches once more Its time for war, no more the middle, rich, or poor, but together, Americans, one and all, endeavor, renewed, and determined to see a new day break.
We today, we happy chosen few, Washington's men, one and all.
You are no different than Washington was in his day. No different then the men who fought beside him. 200 years have changed nothing about human physiology. He had hope, and fear, and courage, and doubts, same as you. He had hatreds, and flaws, and ambitions, same as you. You are no different then he was, no different than the men who crossed the delaware on that icy winter night.
If you are alive today to read this, if you have ever wished to be there that night, wished for a man like Washington to save us, or lead us, wished for the fight, with every fiber of your being, with every drop of blood in your veins.
Remember, you ARE Washington's men.
