I'm sure you've heard of customers returning old items in the box of a newer item to get free upgrades?

Well forget about that, I just received an already opened and empty box for an M.2 SSD I ordered.

They don't even check if the item is in the box for returns, and illegally resell it as a new item (even a genuine customer return isn't meant to be sold as new).

I asked for a replacement and will make sure to record opening it, if I get the same problem I will try taking action for more compo.

The main issue is that the SSD I ordered is the one that Sony also recommend for the PS5 as the price was reduced quite a lot, except I got scammed.

And yes it was a stocked and sold by Amazon Prime item, not a third party seller.

Oh they do, you just don't do it all the time, once a year on a high value item out of hundreds of orders isn't going to get noticed.

Good thing they don’t have 1 billion other human beings trying to work the exact same scam. They could compare statistics between all their users and then they might really wise up.
