I tried to post on Talk.lol and discovered that it's riddled with all the trolls from Voat. All they do is posting bullshit and downvoting normal posts. They obviously can't downvote on Poal, this is why there are almost no trolls from Voat here. I don't know who owns Talk.lol, but they are either low IQ, or are deliberately troll farming there.

Downvoting appeals to the little tyrants--the powerless wannabe autoritarians on the left. It allows them to 'punish' wrongthink in their own little way. Clicking that downvote button gets the dopamine flowing for them. It's a toxic system that engenders negative feelings with few upsides. I've long advocated for the removal of the downvote feature back when I was on reddit a long, long time ago, which was unsurprisingly met with a lot of hostility and downvotes. Glad to see Poal doing it right. I'd have removed the downvote button altogether, but I guess it serves the purpose of letting everyone know who the shills are since downvotes are public.

I never did reddit but that's because I was always fucking around on LiveLeak and didn't even know reddit existed. Went from LL to Voat then to here and I missed the golden years of Voat but was there a couple years before Putt decided to close it down. I'm thankful for PMYB and AOU for making this place though. People are good here not too much kikery.
