For what its worth, you have my condolences.
Sorry for your losses.
Sounds like they have a bad case of vitamin B1 and thyroid deficiency. Unfortunately the doctors don't make money off going that route and most likely would by using remdesivir putting her on a vent and by putting covid on the death record.
My mother and father-inlaw both died alone recently in the hospitals cause of what they do in there.
Really sorry for your loss.
stay strong
Without sounding crass, does she have other morbidities?
She is 65, slightly overweight and had a hip replaced 4 or 5 years ago. She had slightly high blood sugar that was manageable by diet , she would check her fasting blood sugar in the morning. Last time she visited it was slightly over 100.
Threaten to sue the hospital for putting her on a ventilator and get an independent doctor ASAP. Change hospitals.
I appreciate all the advise but I am unable to do anything to manage her care than to advise her immediate family. I do not have access to her doctors, medical power of attorney, and do not even live in the area.
That sucks, but going to need a weight (BMI) and lifestyle on this. To be honest, it sounds like she's just old and health problems are part of the territory when you reach ~70. Doesn't help that the "health care" system is now oriented towards pushing pills while at the same time it's shitting on Whites.
Well fuck that silly woman.
How many years on earth and still trusts the government?
What the fuck are you babbling about?
she trusted a bunch of goons over you.
no sympathy.
The people most vunerable to the virus Covid in its various strains are the elderly and overweight. If you have diabeetus, that's another strike against you. This applies to all cold and flu strains. The flu has always been the Grime Reaper of the elderly. It may be that your sister was just too far gone to do anything for.
High dose Vitamin D and Liposomal C may help. A farmer in New Zealand had Swine flu and recovered ONLY after his family took steps to get him high dose Liposomal Vitamin C. You can find the video on Youtube. You can buy the packets online (assuming the hospital won't give her a high dose vitamin C IV).
