For the longest time, I’ve held those who don’t see what we see as retards in my mind.

Like, how can you see what’s happening with everything and not see the (((cabal))) in all of it? You must be an idiot!

But that attitude didn’t square with me logically.. I know many very intelligent people who don’t see it..and I know many less intelligent who do.. and vice versa.

Basically I’ve found no correlation between “stupid people” and believing the bullshit that’s perpetuated against all of us in clownworld. In fact I’ve found the opposite.

Then one day, it dawned on me. It’s got nothing to do with intelligence and everything to do with emotion.

Fear. That’s it. That’s what it comes down to. How susceptible is a person to fear? The more susceptible to fear, the more the brainwashing works.

It’s the reason why you can have a fact-based discussion with another intelligent person, yet they can’t bring themselves to acknowledge the obvious truth. Emotions bypass the normal channels of logical thought.

It’s why someone might murder their spouse’s affair partner, even though they logically know that they’ll get caught and go to prison or worse. The emotion bypasses the logic.

It’s why marketers want to evoke emotion in advertising. If there’s also logical reasons to buy, then great. But even if there’s no logical reason to buy, hey we can bypass that shit anyhow.

I mention this to say “be kind.”

I’m preaching to myself here, too. It’s very easy to just put someone in the “retard category.” I have to remind myself that it’s fear, not stupidity.

These people piss me off, too. But a lot of it is your perspective. In the Matrix, Neo doesn’t look at everyone who’s still inside with feelings of hate and disgust. He wants to FREE THEM.

That should be our attitudes.

And how do you drive out fear? With love. And by example. Not smug, arrogant example..but fearless, encouraging example. Set an example in love. Because it’s the only thing that can truly bypass the fear which controls them.

Fear is part of it. Humans are social creatures and most of us want to be accepted by the group - however each of us defines the group.

You think people's thought process is:

series of facts & observations -> conclusions -> belief

but it is really:

what do i need to believe for group acceptance -> belief -> rationalization

Naww , they're retards

I believe part of the answer as to why some people go along robotically without questioning and others resist has to do with their exposure to popular media, particularly network television and news. Those who have stopped watching network television, as I have for over a decade, become capable of independent thought and independent research. Their minds are no longer locked into a narrative, which is persuasive because it is repeated endlessly every day.

That's nearer the mark. Most people, even if clever academically, will not allow their own ideas to defy what they perceive as the social norm. The injunction, "Stay in the middle of the herd!" is impressed on them by an enormous weight of evolutionary adaptation.

Modern media takes advantage of this innate human weakness to manipulate people by creating a false social environment that bombards people with whatever signals suit the regime.

Fear plays a part, but it's something much more important than that. It's trust and belief.

The primary difference is people who trust the government, trust the doctors, trust the media, trust in the fact that people are good or honest or think the way they do. It's a nice sentiment, and I wish it could ever be true, but it's naive. This is the key difference between the left and the right. The people in power also know this, and use this to move the perception of the trusters farther and farther away from the skeptics, until there can be no discussion between them.

The left needs the right to protect them, because the idea that people can be honest and ethical is important, but without the reality based logical understanding of the possible awfulness of man, it gets abused and taken advantage of.

I would definitely agree that naivety plays a huge part. But I also think that is a direct result of the dumbing down of folks through the education system. There was a time in this country when people weren’t so naive.

I dont necessarily think so. These trusting people (artists, women, young people) have ALWAYS been trusting. And we have always protected and guided them. Thats what the patriarchy was. Our civilization worked because we allowed for that innocent and naive hope to flourish and feed our positive outlook, while reigning in its myopic idiocy with realism and integrity. The left will ALWAYS wail and gnash their teeth about the unfairness of the world because their world view can't be a reality. The right will always point that out to no avail because the left can't understand it. When strong honest men rule the system works. When they dint it doesn't.

I've come to a slightly different conclusion.

I think the reason most people have fallen for the covid BS is trust, they can't fathom that tptb would lie to them on such a large and worldwide scale.

I've given people hard facts on what's happening, intelligent people and the usual response is that it's not true because it's not peer reviewed or they don't trust the source. Even pointing out that the figures are taken directly from official gov sources it doesn't compute.

I've officially given up trying to help people see the light and deep down I'm still hoping I'm the deluded one

Were really saying the same thing.. it’s scary to think that you can’t trust the very people charged with protecting you.. so they choose not to think that because of fear.

Fear based trauma..from 9/11 to present day is the same formula they’ve always used. You give up your rights because of fear.

Freedom VS security is the inversely proportionate concept that’s been at play since the very beginning. What is security? Are you more or less fearful if you feel secure?

That is the core of it I agree. Here was my writeup on how the human mind is built and how it works: https://poal.co/s/AskPoal/444924

I'd agree that most people are not retarded, but actually "love" is going to be their tactic to convince you that you are wrong

I'd agree with some others here too, most conservative thinking is based on fear, but also a desire for stability and the precursor to that is social trust. liberal thinking isn't, they make no risk assessments, don't prepare for anything and they don't care when society changes. it's very hard for these two groups to coexist in a crisis

what's gone wrong here is that the original sources of trust (ie public discourse) has been jewed, and now nobody trusts it or the State, so that paralyses rational decision making.

If you want to convince people you are right, poal first has to stop with the retarded 5G magnetic nanobots BS and nigger tier misunderstanding of statistics, and start empathising with their viewpoints too. You can only argue for your position if you've first repeated their position and why you still disagree.

It is fear AND stupidity. People can be educated, but lack common sense and reason.

The sheep I know personally have always been comfortable, base their lives on fear and want to fit in. Then there's the belief in doctors as authority figures. When (((they))) began allowing drug companies to advertise it perpetuated this lie. How many actors dressed in white lab coats claim to be a health professional in ads?

These are sheep whom rely on doctors because they believe in nothing. Medicine is god to them.
