Not quite. MCT oil is fractionated coconut oil. The long chain fatty acids (i.e. lauric acid) are removed leaving the medium chain triglycerides (i.e. capric acid, caprylic acid, etc). MCT oil produces more ketones than coconut oil, though coconut oil is still quite ketogenic in its own right.
