Atheism has always been a silly, absurdly limiting point of view, but it is necessary to transcend this viewpoint in order to see that this is so. Anyone who calls himself an atheist, and who looks on religious believers with contempt and pity -- if you are very lucky, you are in for one rude awakening. You can't really call anyone awake who is not awake to the spirit. Atheists are sheeple.

Most atheists respect other religions and understand our constitution in regards to religious freedoms, however... there are some ideals that when mixed with atheism can be a lethal nightmare. Like Marxism.

Atheism is just the belief that there is no god. Its not a structured political doctrine that requires following certain beliefs. The opposite would be a theist that believes that a god does exist. Personally i dont have a problem with either view, theists tend to have structured religious doctrine, so their behaviour might be different to the norm, but so long as they are not murdering or harassing people there shouldnt be any issue.

Today though the most religiously obnoxious people are atheists. To be perfectly fair thought most arent atheist they are in fact jews, so the rest of the non believers unfortunately get lumped in with them just like how christians get lumped in with obnoxious jewish televangelists that tell christians to donate to israel.

It might be helpful to acknowledge that atheism is a religion. It has leaders, rituals, texts, and beliefs.

Most of the beliefs are sad, reductive, and hopeless, which leads to the same in the rest of the religion.

I may be religious but I am aligned with the good atheists: as our guide, nothing surpasses the truth. Moral systems can be fully derived from a combination of empathy, observation of consequences (including statistics), and logic... Using these three, it'll take you all the way to "society needs to execute gays to stop them from spreading their mental and bodily diseases." If your goal is seeking the best outcomes for the vast majority of people, it results in a moral code that is very much like ALL long-standing religions, though each has their own little cultural flavor.

The existence of God is a truth of indeterminable value. If you're honest, you must allow for this uncertainty, even if you're fully confident in your belief. However, defining the limits of moral behavior is not like this.

Too many faggy Reddit atheists think that no God means they can do anything they want without consequence. Like they found out that their dad wasn't their real dad, and immediately started ignoring his good advice.

I don't believe in a god, but, religious history is 100% real.

Culture dominates everything, so even if you're an atheist you need to back something in order to be part of society.
