War is not my wife's job. That's the arena of men. But there is a small degree of comfort in knowing that you will always have one person left to stand behind you.

I think of the final fight in the Outlaw Josey Wales. At least in my mind the women were loading the rifles.

War's a wife's job if the war comes to the gates of your fortress though. A woman needs to be able to kill a man at long range with a gun, and if ambushed, at short range with whatever's available.

For better or worse: my daughters are far better with guns than my wife. (Future husbands - you are welcome.)

She is very pro-gun and sees the value. Just when she works with them, she still treats them like she was holding a rattlesnake. For that reason, she keeps her guns stay in the safe and not in her purse. Will just take more time.

Get a supressor, they really open people up to liking shooting.

Especially on a manual action firearm...nicely simple and quiet.

That's right. It's the first thing I did. I'm cool because she knows how to defend herself.
