Got home from work Thursday morning and my heart had a sharp pain on the left side. Heart rate was around 100 and wouldn't calm down to let me sleep. Problem is still persisting today.

I'm not vaxxed at all. Early 30's 6'2" 250. Bit of belly weight.

Edit: dehydration too. Lots of water intake. Edit2: my condition went away. My bpm is back to normal and I don't feel nauseated and dehydrated. Whatever it was, I think I'm done with it. I appreciate the comments and I'll be working on my physical health when my outbuilding is done. I have a bike, treadmill, Smith machine, dumbbells, an machine, etc. I used to be a swimmer and my size was always important when I was on a team.

Garlic, hawthorne, lily of the valley, and walnuts are all good for the heart; ginger and motherwort as well.. Indigestion can mimic left side heart/arm pain. Are you extra stressed, or sugared/caffeined up?

If you're that worried, go to the ER.

It may be indigestion from all of these holiday leftovers. I did drink a bunch of coffee since I barely got three hours of sleep before my twelve hour shift.

I may have to. I'll post an update.

If it makes you feel better I've had the same symptoms. Caused by exhaustion and caffeine. Went away after I rested, ate reasonably, and rehydrated. But still, I would never advise someone feeling chest/heart/arm pain to not just go to the ER.

That was another thing. Very dehydrated. I've been pounding water and a pedialyte for electrolytes too.

caffeine + work

Yeah I've been a little too heavy on the coffee. Currently renovating a house and working 70~ hours a week due to coworker quarantines and maintenance shutdowns.

What's your diet like?

Decently healthy. My wife has been on a health kick the past few months. I went to a more sedentary job position at work since a coworker went out for surgery. I drink beer 3-4 days a week.

When was the last time you had a physical? You should probably do that and the blood work associated with it.

I had one back in June. I've always had good blood pressure and heart rate. My resting heart rate is normally 50-55 so 100bpm was really worrying.

Blood work gives more info

Yeah guess I'll go get a test on Monday. Next chance I'll have.

From what i've heard, the heart doesn't usually give you "sharp" pain, it's more like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness, burning, or tightness. Fast pulse rate is not a good thing, though. Maybe you need to see a cardiologist, but I would suggest improving your diet and getting lots of exercise.

  1. Try not to worry
  2. Try not to be angry
  3. Be grateful
  4. Work Honetly
  5. Be Kind

bit of belly weight

You have significantly more than a bit of belly weight guy. You are 32.1 BMI. Well into obese. You're a hamplanet and you're experiencing what hamplanetry causes.

Lose 55 pounds.

BMi is bullshit. I have arm, chest, and leg mass. My best friend is built like pacman and we have the same BMI. Go back to posting nigger tier bullshit anticlutch.

BMI is bullshit.

Okay ham. BMI UNDERESTIMATES overweight / obese people. So unless you're fucking world's strongest man muscular: you're a hamplanet. There's no discussion here. You are a hamplanet.

https://archive.md/P5Biz Literal first result on (((jewgle))).

I'm sure some dumbass who I actually like and support on this site is the pinnacle of health. You're about half my up vote score btw.

I know I need to drop the excess weight. Keeping around 200-210 would be ideal for me. Currently working on the outbuilding on my property. I have a Smith machine, treadmill, my bike stand, and a tractor tire. I'm saving up for more equipment on top of the new diet I've been on.

Biggest concern for the topic of this post was the bug change in the past two days for my heart rate. Worried I was sick or had an illness I didn't know about. But yeah go ahead with the hamplanet shit.

Lose some weight.

Edit: not trying to be a dick just genuine advice for someone who is worried about their heart.

You're 100% right. I'm a big guy stature wise. I could stand to lose about 25 pounds and be happy.
