Went to return something and ended up getting cash from customer service person. she said I don't have enough change to give you..... I just laughed and said "wow, where do we live". Where do we live is this is fucking Libya, what have these politicians done to the people? Even a bigger question is what have we done to ourselves by letting these assholes do it to us. This is pathetic, this is embarrassing.

"National Coin Shortage" - We don't like to go to the bank to get change for our customers, so use your credit or debit card. Don't worry, that extra 2% is priced into our products, so fuck you.

Oh, and wear a mask while you shop. It doesn't do anything but you need to buy or shit, so fuck you again.

We should all exchange our dick pics in unison to fight the power

A big box place like home depot has armored car service so that cost is getting passed on to you for using cash.

I love using cash. Especially when my total is 11.00 and I hand the cashier $21.00

[–] 2 pts

....And they hand you back $40.

"Ain't nobody got time for dat (cashier to puzzle out what change to give you)!"

If you have to explain the joke in the joke then it’s not a good joke

[–] 5 pts

They legally have to give you the amount or more. If they owed you 36.86 then they need to give you 37.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah they ran out of change she's like I don't have the $0.05 I'm like whatever I mean I was just floored that a major company a major corporation that's trading doesn't have change I mean how pathetic almost kind of makes me want to send a note to the CEO and just tell him how pathetic he is for not sharing of his company's finances.

[–] 3 pts

Take the cash and do a chargeback on your CC on top, telling them they didn't refund you the full amount. Someone at Home Depot corporate is going to have to review the whole transaction and I bet they throw a hissy fit when they see it's over a $0.05 amount.

I love petty aggression.

Pathetic? No...it's part of a well oiled, long term agenda to move to a cashless society, and it's working really well. Hardly pathetic. Impressive, actually.

Yeah, call a lawyer because they shorted you 86 cents!

[–] 2 pts

you don't need a lawyer for 86 cents. small claims court.

[–] 0 pt

lol and the loser has to pay the court costs. That's $80 around here.

[–] 1 pt

It's not about a lawyer goober. This is common practice. Example:

New Zealand got rid of everything under a dime. If paying with a card and your total is 6.93 they charge you 6.93, but since you can't give more than 6.90 without overpaying in cash they reduce it to the nearest dime. This is why many kiwis carry cash instead of paying with debit.

I just came here to point out the same thing. Signs in all the stores in my town have the same "hurr durr coin shortage use exact change or a card" signs posted by checkouts.

Toilet paper shortages, chip shortages, lumber shortages, coin shortages... the tricks never end, and the retards will never stop believing every narrative shoved down their throats.

Every so-called supply chain issue was designed to accelerate inflation and put as at even greater mercy of the (((Federal Reserve))).

The local scrap yard didn't have any problems giving me exact change as I cleaned out some of my old stuff getting properties ready to sell.

I keep a pocket full of change now for this reason. It's really the pennies they're often in need of.

Turns out those delivery drivers and shipping people are actually needed. Especially for positions that require CDLs. So maybe these companies shouldn't have fucked so many drivers out of their over time pay last year going into the first quarter of this year. Especially when unemployment was paying so well. Some of the shipping companies were still trying to low ball drivers over the summer.

[–] 0 pt

No I love when companies try to chew there potential hires I had a buddy which I couldn't believe he did but pay these kids $10 an hour to do it work and said if they don't like it he smack the stack of applications next when I said I got all these guys here that'll take it. I mean that's just some scumbag shit but they all do it.

[–] 0 pt

I'm already seeing ads from smaller shipping companies/depos saying they pay full wages and properly schedule drivers.

Same with these bigger companies getting pissed that a huge portion of their workforce refuses to come back to the office vs working remotely.

Coins are treasury money. Dollars are Federal Reserve debt notes. Just saying that there is a difference. Don't know if it's significant, or not

The signage has been out since this bullshit started. I use cash, I have never had a problem with it. If I did, the very next words out of my mouth would be, "I need to speak to a manager.".

What the fuck are you doing shopping at that shit hole to begin with?

[–] 0 pt

I needed to return something that I bought for my camper. And I thought I actually use my credit card but I use my debit card and I forgot the pin so she gave me cash or tried to.

[–] 0 pt

"Well, go ahead and get some. I know it's not your fault, you are getting the squeeze as a teller, but it's not your fault. So just go get your manager and get me my change."
