PSA - If you store seeds away for when SHTF, keep in mind seeds don't last forever. I checked the expiry date on my seeds and looked online and depending on the seeds and how you store them, consider replacing them every 2 years to ensure viability.
I would also think, if planning for shts stuff, a stockpile of marijuana seeds would be good to have. If society breaks down, vices will be valuable trading commodities. It wouldnt even have to be the high octane princess shit sold nowadays. Some 80s style schwag weed would be great for trading if the world goes to hell.
I would like to try distilling potatoes into vodka next year.
??
I wasn't thinking for SHTF, but just for spring planting. we still have snow on the ground, but I like to order now so I can start some seeds indoors.
I do agree, ~2 year life span on the seeds. you can get lucky and some will last longer, but usually the germination rate drops quite a bit after the first year.
