People are so starved for attention that after they've told their Covid story dozens of times to everyone they know and see, they make up new symptoms because it's the most interesting thing they have to talk about. You'll notice a trend of this with people who have nothing else going on in their lives.

Edit: there is literally no such thing as "long Covid." Brain fog comes from being an unhealthy piece of shit.

I suspect that much of the "long COVID" symptoms are largely psychosomatic. People are told to be in the look out for these symptoms, so they will see them and possibly even actually manifest the physiological symptoms themselves.

Does "long COVID" effect the Amish?

There's been people who suffer knock-on effects from colds and flus since the dawn of time, or those who take a long time to recover from them, this is no different.
