?

Anyway, cut the carbs, fast occasionally, and exercise your muscles twice a week, minimum. Cardio is garbage. Good luck, fatass.

[–] 1 pt

No it's true, just happened yesterday. He noticed I have a belly but being a boomer and a harley rider I kind of need it to fit in.

[–] 1 pt

Yeah I'm old and they say cardio is not good for older (but handsome with a full head of hair feel me?) people, that it causes you to lose testosterone is that true?

[–] 3 pts

I never heard anything like that. All I know is it shocks your metabolism since it burns tons of calories. It’s counter intuitive, but burning so many calories ends up making you fat, since your body goes “oh shit, we need more energy! Store more glucose as fat and burn fat slower!”

So yeah, fuck cardio. It’s shit on your joints and it’s shit on your gut. Plus, if you stop exercising for one week, you lose all your progress and have no endurance.

Muscle exercises are vastly superior due to muscle memory allowing you to not suffer as badly from taking a break from exercising, and how muscles naturally burn calories consistently without much work needed on your end.

That's exactly what I needed to hear, thanks. I knew it vaguely, but this is a good concise summary.

I usually use an elliptical but even that might be too much cardio.

[–] 1 pt

If you're lifting weights and doing occasional cardio, that should be a net testosterone gain. But if you're old you should just get on TRT anyway, you'll feel much better and live longer.

[–] 1 pt

Appreciate that. Been doing elliptical only, gotta start the weights.

Why do exercise machines always 'break.' I'm gonna get some non powered ones.

Sigh.

When you're obese, eating less is the most important thing you can do, you fat fuck.

Exercise is damaging to joints and won't be pleasant until you lose some serious weight. Consider a walk around the block once a day your exercise until you are light enough to move around easier.

>Exercise is damaging to joints and won't be pleasant until you lose some serious weight.

Yeah that's the scary part. I'm not that heavy but a loved one is.

Go and contact Wes Watson. Get him to put you on a program. You'll need to wake up early every morning 3-4 am. Workout and train, get your macro nutrient mix right and burn through that fat, fatboy.

I followed my own program for weight training using free weights/ machines, and have lost roughly 20lbs over the last two months keeping my macros in line and exercising everyday, including cardio (20 min on either elliptical or running after my weights routine). Keep your body in a calorie deficit every single day. No cheat days you fat fuck. Get your shit together you sweaty buffalo. I'm in control of what I consume and wake up early every morning to exercise including today when I didn't want to.

Being obese is disgusting to your average human being.

>No cheat days you fat fuck. Get your shit together you sweaty buffalo

This hurts my feelings.

Who is Wes Watson?

Can you get a coach on the internet?

>exercise your muscles twice a week, minimum.

For how long roughly?

[–] 1 pt (edited )

Like I said, that’s the bare minimum that most people can reach even if you’re super busy. Do 30 minutes at least. If you exercise twice a week, that’s one hour a week.

You’ll also want to cut carbs, which means no more bread, potatoes, rich, and other high-carb, starchy foods. That means you’ll need to eat more steak, pork, chicken, fish, eggs, etc. You can still eat fruits and vegetables, but keep it reasonable with the fruits. Nuts are also ok, within reason.

Basically, if something is ultra-processed and it comes in a box/bag, don’t eat it.

Back to the exercise thing: you don’t even need equipment. Just do squats and push-ups to start. You could buy a bar and do pull-ups for relatively cheap ($20 starting). If you struggle to do push-ups, just try to hold the push-up position for as long as possible. Your goal is to exercise the muscles to the point of failure, which means to the point where you literally can not do the exercise anymore. This will force the body to repair the damage you’ve done, make the muscles bigger, and make you burn more calories naturally due to more muscles.

You need to eat a lot more meat in your diet to heal the damage you’ll be doing, but you’ll be happy, fuller, and less hungry once you get this done right. Also remember to fast at least 16 hours once a week.

Yep, thanks. It's extremely difficult to do though, especially in this crazy rushed age.

But has to be done, we're already dying naturally, shouldn't add fuel to the fire.

Are you LARPing or...?

[–] 0 pt

Nope, true story. I do like to mess with people here but this really happened.

Call him a fat-shaming bigot and sue him for six million dollars.

Most of the early weight loss on keto is water and glycogen and not fat, but it typically encourages people to stay on track and you get less blood sugar spikes fucking with hunger.

So either try keto or do low carb, with carbs coming pre workout. Raise protein and do resistance training. As you get your newbie gains and drop a bit of fat you'll notice a difference fairly fast.

Aim for 28 bmi, as that's where the first increase in risk factors occur for fatties, though body fat is better.

If you really are a boomer, then there's no shame on hopping on trt of you need that small boost. It'll increase your life span on average too.

[–] 0 pt

Appreciate that, great info. Yeah really a boomer.

We've been doing the fast thing, all day nothing (no lunch or breakfast) and then eat dinner, then kitchen closed and repeat. But we're tempted to eat junk during that time that we eat (dinner time).

I think you might be interested in HIIT (high intensity interval training). There was a good series about it from a doctor who also got told out of the blue that he was borderline diabetic even though he didn't look that unhealthy. https://youtu.be/iEc7QFc5vIQ

It's clever how it works, tldr you do a burst of activity and it sends a chemical signal to your hormones to trigger the breakdown of stored fat. It's good for lazy arses.

[–] 1 pt

Was just looking at that, had heard about it, supposed to be the 'best.'

But it's scary lol.

I think you just have to be careful to not go too hard so you don't injure yourself, I think that's why people always seem to do it on an exercise bike - so the range of motion is limited and controlled. There was a news reader who did it on a rowing machine who yanked too hard, tore the artery in his neck and had a stroke, but that's a bit retarded to be honest, as long as your not silly about it and don't have that retard strength where you can basically snap your own neck from flipping out too hard when you're exercising you should be okay.

[–] 1 pt

Yes, thanks. The clip I looked at, he was doing it on an exercise bike.

And don't give me some crap about being healthy and getting in shape. I'm trying. But both my exercise machines are broken and I'm afraid of gyms. I try to eat only 4 max small Hershey's almond bar candies individually wrapped from a 'family' size bag per day.

Is it true that cardio lowers testosterone?

That's 28g of carbs (7g each). Stop eating sugar/syrup/honey/nectar! I lost 20 pound in my first 20 days of keto.

[–] 0 pt

That's encouraging.

Do you know about sugar alcohols (Sorbitol, Xylitol, etc.)?

I know a little, but here's where I learned it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcnGmKi3xms

Lose some weight you piece of shit.

Who are you calling a piece of shit and did you not read where I didn't want any of these type of comments?
