It's shit money.

Very hard to count accurately because the bills are too thin.

Tears really easily.

Also it's glued together with a clear plastic strip in the middle that becomes unglued, causing the bills to fall apart in your hand.

Not as big a deal as one might imagine because most have stopped using cash.

More and more, people just use their cell phones now for electronic transactions.

I imagine this money is nearly impossible to counterfeit.

Hacking the cellphones will be much easier.

> grab a linux laptop with NFC device, amped-up for long-distance use
> sit outside a starbucks
> sit back and watch all the tap-data get stored on your HDD.

I'm sure it's more complicated than that. Maybe you could even find a way to pick-up on key-presses on the dial-pads, to get PINs as well. All of a sudden, a bunch of local people decide now is the time to drop all their cash on bitcoin.

plus it falls apart in the washer and melts in the dryer.

Cant believe no one has brought this up yet.

How can "Plastic Money" be "Green"? They ban straws but then change the entire monitory system from a bio-degradable "fabric" to Plastic?

Gretta must be losing sleep over this one.

People don't usually throw currency in the trash, Homer

Just like in the USA if currency is too old/damaged it is taken out of circulation and destroyed. With paper/fabric money it will biodegrade. Not so much with plastic.

The plastic money is said to be washing-machine safe, and will outlast the old currency by a factor of 3-5. It also cannot be counterfeited
