Sugar is poisonous and it promotes the growth of harmful gut bacteria that influence your brain chemistry to make you crave more sugar. Cut out all sweets and sweeteners except raw honey for a couple weeks and you'll feel like a different person. You'll sleep better, you'll have more energy, and pretty quickly you won't crave sugar. I broke my sugar fast a bit over the last week visiting with some friends and I immediately felt gross. Be careful to not replace those sweets with extra carbs.

You're getting confused. Fructose is in high fructose corn syrup. There's a lot of fructose in it. That's why they call it "high fructose." If fructose in HFCS is bad for you, then it's also bad for you in honey. If fructose in honey is not bad for you, then it can't be bad for you in HCFS.

Glycemic loading plays a big part.

However, all sugar is basically poison , so avoid it.

You're preaching to the choir. I limit all carbohydrates to less than 20g per day, and none come from sweetener, grains, or potatoes. I mostly live off of meat, eggs, dairy, and vegetables.

Best to shoot for zero, then anything you get is inconsequential
