Here's the terminology that bothers me. "moderation". This isn't a vague guideline and it's more like empty marketing.

When you're dealing with fats, moderation is the code word for stop being fat. Stop eating shit you know that's bad for you every day. If you eat sugary stuff once a week or one a month, that's going to be 'moderation' for most people relative to their current diet.

If they could do that they would. 99% of these "fats" are that way because their slut female birth giver shoveled candy and sweets at them while she fucked for rent. Almost all these obese adult children were obese children.

The effort needed to stop being a "fat" is psychological and emotional as well as 10 times more physically than had they been thin and loved children. I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying that it won't. because food has been their only lover, friend, and reason for living. When you ask them to get healthy what they hear is "kill your friend, your lover and your reason to live".
