Deep down, these people are afraid of what their subconscious mind already knows. They must fight learning the facts, lest their carefully crafted personality be torn in two.

In a way, learning , creating a new you. In effect, deeply learning for a long time is literally killing yourself.

The new you however, is a much more learned person.
