Lots of shortages and backorders on things like chainsaws, water pumps, oil filters, tool heads, and paint.

I did notice that getting certain brands of oil filters was damn near impossible at the parts stores. I had to order my last batch of them from an online supplier, and they had a hard limit on the number I could buy.

Same. And same with ammo, obviously.

There are a couple of big firearm stores near me that seem to have a healthy supply of common ammo. Stores that don't specialize, like Rural King, seem to be constantly out of it.

Paint.. I have 2000 dollars of 5 gallon paint from lowes I got for about 120 bucks tons of paint

I should have been more specific. Tree-marking paint.

Lol np

And randomly a dude at lowes was looking for marking paint as I was standing there and they were out

Today my Ace Hardware had no caulk. Regular caulk. I even asked 2 employees. Nope.

[–] 2 pts

My man, I have an above average caulk I can lend you

[–] 4 pts

I kept bellowing "I REALLY NEED SOME WHITE CAULK!" They let me down, man.

[–] 1 pt

They let you down but us Poalrs are here for you; We heard your cries.

Shelves are fine in my area but I've been to three chain groceries and none carry frozen ducks or eggnog.

Did some shopping tonight, turn signal bulb I need was in stock. (Regional) Gocery was kinda dodgy, got paper towels tho. One pack left of chorizo, ok. Seafood fridge was full; was lookin for tilapia. Ok here

[–] 2 pts

Why would you be looking for tilapia?

[–] 1 pt

Because he likes tilapia?

[–] 0 pt

Its the dirtiest most fuced up farmed fish out there. Probably better to eat feeder goldfish. Tilapia swim around in a filthy pool of chickenshit and antibiotics. Its foul.

You could probably load up on vegan "meat", too.

The "stuff" is stacked in containers, both off and on shore.

There's still plenty of everything, except transportation to move it from A to B.

As of today, the average container turnaround, from offloading to leaving the port is 17.8 days.

That doesn't include the months the containers have already spent at anchor offshore of the ports.

Nor is it just the West Coast - East coast ports are facing similar issues.

They have started a massive expansion of "inland" ports whereby trains bring the cargo inland to land set aside as additional port facilities. These serve as additional stockpiles and clearing points for cargo traffic. This reduces both the lineup for trucks waiting to load/unload, and reduces the distance they have to travel. This will actually help make a difference.

Meanwhile, the vax mandate on truckers going into effect right about now - well, the truckers union says 37% of trucker will not comply and are about to stop driving.

So, stock up and buckle up, because SHTF is about to go into overdrive.

Yep it's been like that here for months, state of Georgia. My dad lives in a bigger city and it just recently (last month or so) started showing where he is.
