Yeah. My company is encouraging the vax. I can't get promoted if I can't come to the office.
Eventually they will mandate for everyone.
The internal chat boards are full of people mocking the unpoked.
Have some balls and mock them back.
Fortune 50 company actively censoring employee boards by deleting comments, dozens at a time. Only pro vaccine comments are allowed. I have seen it demonstrated before my own eyes. If your place of employment is like that, why do you give them your energy? Find someone or go out on your own where you'll actually be appreciated.
- Going out on your own isn't as easy as people make it seem. A whole lot of dominoes need to fall and some of them are missing. I can't just quit and start over, sadly. Unless you're paying.
- I am paid reasonably well. I don't need to be appreciated. I need to get paid. And every other company on the same pay scale is also mandating the vax.
As someone who has started multiple buisness, it's not easy. However, it is extremely rewarding when your hard work pays off. I just have 0 sympathy for people who complain about how they get fucked by big companies and are too lazy to think outside the box.
I worked with one of the most prolific minds in structural engineering on a daily basis. Incredible opportunity, the guy literally wrote the equations used by every structural engineer building a skyscraper. Great job, excellent opportunities, good pay. Every day I left I never knew what the weather was. Hated it.
I quit and started a company leveraging some contacts I made. First year, barely cleared 20k. Second year 70k and this year will hopefully be double.
It takes work, sacrifice and delayed gratification. If it's important enough to you, you'll make it happen.
Quit bitching and take charge of your own life.
Btw, it took 10 years to line the dominoes up before I could take the leap. But I put those fucking dominoes in place, no one else, ME.
