MSM didn't give you the full story. Unless you watched the trial for yourself, you didn’t know the gas station is where it all started. And that's where Kyle stayed, up until they started attacking him, and is owned by his grandparents. They came on to his property to attack him. You didn't know that Kyle put out a dumpster fire that was being rolled down to a gas station to blow it up, with people all around. You didn't know that the Police were told to stand down as businesses were being destroyed. You didn't know that Kyles Dad, Grandma and Friends all lived in Kenosha, 20 minutes from where he resided with his Mom part time in Illinois. You didn't know that someone knocked Rittenhouse down twice and then attempted to kick him with lethal force to the head. You didn't know that Huber had hit him in the head 2x with a skateboard. You didn't know Gaige Grosskreutz, aimed his gun at Kyle first, as he admitted on the stand. You didn't know that in the State of Wisconsin, it is legal for Kyle to have a gun, even at 17 (which was why the gun charge was dismissed). You didn't know that Kyle did not cross state lines with a gun he wasn't supposed to have. The rightful gun owner did, as he was legally permitted to do. You also didn't realize that Rosenbaum was a 5 time convicted child rapist and that Huber was a 2 time convicted woman beater. Just ask them if they think the judicial process needs to be reformed. Do we need to eliminate 12 jurors informed by the prosecution and defense, and replace them with a popular vote informed by people who watch MSNBC and FOX News? Would that be a better system?

Ask if they would've convicted him based upon the information that they have recorded. They'll probably say yes.

Ask them if they think it is moral for a human to be imprisoned based off of information a juror received from a for profit company.

Try to tell the story from the other perspective…. So I’m minding my own business, you know rioting burning causing mayhem. And I get this idea to light a dumpster on fire and roll it down the hill and blow up a gas station. Then this kid shows up and starts to put it out, an I’m yelling.. hey kid knock it off! I’m trying to blow stuff up! And he keeps doing it! So I start pleading with him to stop, but he didn’t. Next thing I know there is no boom, so I start to chase him away, he’s yelling something to the people around. I get up to him and I push him down. He has this rifle on his shoulder. I say hey big man I have a gun too see! And I point it at his face, and would you believe that very second he shot me! For no good reason!

I don't tell them anything. If you are so absolutely retarded as to think this kid ever deserved to go to trial let alone be convicted you aren't worth even talking to or being near. I'd rather try and convince a young earth creationist that the Earth isn't 6,000 years old, a flat earther we don't live in a snow globe, or an anti gun faggot that we have a god given right to bear arms than talk to anyone who thinks this kid deserved prison.

Firstly, I am overjoyed that Kyle was found not guilty. But let me play a tiny bit of devil's advocate for a second on those facts.

I did not watch the entire trial but tried to keep up with it best I could given my job. I am having trouble finding verification online that his grandparents did indeed own the gas station. If he was defending it, why wasn't he fighting from an entrenched position? Was he the only one there, or where there others there from his friend/family group also protecting it?

None of that is material to whether or not he acted in self-defense. Which of course he did.

It would be really stupid for the defense to lie about who owned the gas station, when it isn't directly material to his defense. The prosecution could easily verify, then say he's lying. Then say "If he's lying about that, what's to say he isn't lying about everything." In court - and in life - don't lie when you don't have to.

So just to be clear, did the defense say that they owned it? Part of my issue is that I can't seem to find any "official" statement about it either way. Again may have missed it in the trial since I didn't watch all of it. Agree with you that the defense wouldn't lie about something so easily disprovable in court.

I didn't see anything about owning the gas station. Black was asked by the car dealership to help protect it and to bring friends.

Also, Kyle left that property and went a few blocks away, crossing a police line that had been established. Some of OP's info doesn't jive with what I saw at trial.
