I don't like wearing socks to bed but I live in a mild climate. What about places with cold winters?

edit: Did a search on wearing socks to bed and saw most "experts" said to wear socks to bed. Since most of those sites had a globo-homo vibe to them I will concur with OP.

I've never lived in a really cold place. I just wondered if when it's freezing outside and there's no heat that maybe people wear socks.

My heat it's off. It's sub freezing. I don't have socks on.

I dunno, nice fresh thick socks that just came out of the dryer slightly after you got out of the hot shower...sounds kind of nice actually

I wear socks to bed when I sleep on the couch, not wearing socks on the couch makes you an animal.

I sleep in the clothes I was wearing all day all the time. I also don't use sheets and instead use a hooded sleeping bag. And I don't have a mattress, either, but rather just a mat over the built in springs of my metal bed frame.

I keep my room cold in the winter to save $$$ so I can keep the rest of the house and my kids' rooms warmer. I sleep better when it's cold. Sometimes I hop in bed with my big wool socks that I wear in lieu of slippers and then take them off as soon as the bed warms up. Fite me.

Ive been out in the snow hunting since almost 2 hours before daylight, cold as shit. Got home and took my socks off for bed. Wondering why the fuck the house is so cold. My stupid ass left the door open, for 2 hours in a snowstorm. Had my hands full carrying my pack and rifle inside to dry out, forgot to close the door. Still took my damn socks off before i got in bed.
