Was driving, saw a turtle walking across the road. Traffic wasn't that heavy so I pulled over maybe 25 meters past it. Sprinted back but someone nailed it before I could get to him/her. I've saved a few turtles from the road before but couldn't get this one. That's all.

Could've been a box turtle. They're always crossing roads in the midwest.
