Youtube, twitter, facebook all have this shit. I remember years ago someone posted a link to a guys youtube channel where it was a bunch of videos of him fucking his dog. The weird thing was there wasn't a link to report the videos or the channel for content violation. Meaning he was protected by youtube itself.

Youtube also applies different censorship standards for different countries.
My guess is there is too much being uploaded for any organization to censor it fully.
The best they can do is jump on the stuff that goes viral, but first they need it to go viral before they know where to jump.

It looks like shitposters from 4chan uploading creepy memes with weird names to bypass YouTube algorithms. So the bot can't find them and delete it.

It worked for me (I'm in Belgium). You have to choose one of the proposed search text with the weird characters, not search for the period character.

Yeah, just tried this and yeah. You don't actually hit search, I agree, you just put in a single period and click a suggested link. I'm in the US btw.

It works for me but a lot of them are rick rolls or not videos of the images they portray, but some really are. I'm assuming it's just that YouTube can't keep up with getting rid of stuff and someone figured out a good way for people to find gore who wanted it.
