This is correct. This includes early rulers of Japan and China (ruling class). This includes Buddha, Attila, and even many North and South American gods. When the Spanish arrived the South Americans believed they were their gods returned because of their appearance and technology. Upon admission they were not and disapproval of the bastardization of their cultures (mass human sacrifice intended to bring their gods back to them), they rebelled, resulting in war and their deaths.
