Many suicides end up in disability instead of death. This way people who were just depressed end up suffering for real, because are doomed to live as invalids for the rest of their life. This is the irony of human beings. Sometimes all what it takes to die is an absurd incident that doesn't look lethal. But when somebody is trying to end their life, it's not enough, and instead of dying people make their sufferings even worse. My advice is to never attempt suicide, because it can really make things even worse instead of ending sufferings.
