I have a great job- good pay, great team, love the work. I am happy here.

Early last week, me and the only other un-shot employee on our team were told that we needed to be shot by December 8th or else we couldn't work. If we showed up un-shot and worked, the company would be fined for something like $14k per day, per un-shot employee.

So there I am, thinking "I'm going to lose this job that I'm finally fucking happy with over this goddamned shot?!" I am ashamed to admit this, but for a few moments, I had actually thought "Fuck it, I'm tired of stressing out over this, I'm tired of wondering if I'm going to have a fucking job next month, I'll just go get the fucking shot and either get all fucked from it, or be fine- but at least I'll have work." So they stressed me out with this pressure, this looming "deadline" (the language they use in shit like this is always very deliberate- deadlines are for work, the government doesn't get to demand deadlines from me).

As the initial anger and fear of the future faded, as my emotions receded and my rational mind took the wheel again, I had an epiphany- THE PURPOSE OF THESE "DEADLINES" IS TO GET GUYS LIKE ME TO JUST THROW THEIR HANDS UP IN FRUSTRATION, SAY "FUCK IT, I'LL GET THE DAMNED SHOT SO I CAN KEEP MY JOB"! And they almost got me. This is a subtle, bizarre kind of peer pressure. I'd argue that it's coercion.

Fucking federal government puts a gun to all employers heads- "Either your employees are shot, or we will fine you into oblivion." So the company, terrified of being fined, then turns and points a gun to the head of their employees- "Either you get the shot, or you don't get to work, and by extension you do not get to earn a living wage." THIS IS THINLY VEILED VIOLENCE. THIS IS A THREAT. THIS IS FORCE.

It seems all the lawyers are finally crawling out of the woodwork. I've been wondering- where the fuck have all the lawyers been over the last two years? We are the most litigious country on earth, lawsuits against anything and anyone for almost any fucking reason.... but no lawyers stepped up and filed suits for civil rights violations, Constitutional violations, etc.? Wtf? There's BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to be made in these lawsuits. But they just sort of went dark during all of this. Very sus.

Anyway, don't let yourself feel pressured like I did. I had planned on waiting until the last day, then getting the shot when it became clear I'd be fired. This plan was folly. I HAVE DRAWN A LINE. I WILL NOT TAKE THAT FUCKING SHOT, I DON'T CARE HOW SAFE THEY CLAIM IT IS, THIS IS THE LINE I WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO CROSS.

OP, it's worth checking out some of these places. Some of them are mostly focused on suing for denial of religious exemptions but you may find some that will work with you otherwise too. It can't hurt to contact them.

Like I have mentioned before, most people (i.e. the people who just do what they are told by their employer, the government, or the narrative) do not know the law so they believe that vaccine and mask mandates can be enforced. However, this is not true. This is when you will have to push back and contact an attorney to get advice.
