A gas station with no gas. I was too young to experience the crisis in the early 70s, but it happened today. Gas jumped 50 cents this afternoon, one station near me was a little cheaper and was backed up into the street, the one across the street had no gas.

If it’s a shit hole gas station it could be COD and not have the cash on hand and be a low priority on the suppliers list

It's a fairly large statewide chain with their own delivery network.

That's disconcerting. I wonder if there's a way to see if this is a nationwide phenomenon? Usually it hits coasts or wherever the refineries ship their gas.

I asked the clerk, she said that they had been trying to get a delivery of gasoline that day, but it wasn't happening.

I think this is hyper-localized, but it's certainly got me thinking I need to pick up another can, just as a buffer.

I don't want to be an alarmist cunt, but everything needs energy. If gas/propane/coal have supply disruptions, everything gets disruptions.

You might want to skip hoarding an extra jerry can of gas and buy some dried beans and rice instead.

I'm not sure. I feel like this is a localized issue, as in this one particular area. I'll keep an eye on the stations in question, it will be pretty obvious if they remain dry - no cars will be at the pumps during the busy times of 2-6PM.

If you want to be accurate, thank Trump. He presided over the out of control money printing.

If you want to be really accurate, realize that Trump being in office wasn't material to the printing of money or gas lines. This was going to happen regardless. Your vote didn't and likely doesn't count unless it's convenient to "the narrative".
