I'm approaching it from an OLD religious perspective. God ordained the practice for a time. I have no doubt that you will adhere to at least one of the following: (1) God doesn't exist; (2) God can do evil; (3) Jesus was not divine (etc)
For me, circumcision was a sign of the original covenant with Israel. It has no legitimate religious application (and therefore no legitimate application) today. I'm with you on all the medical stuff.
