Yeah, I just got pre-qualified today. The housing market is finally starting to cool off in my area. Waiting for the crash, but my lease is up in November. I will probably have to buy time in December, but my rent would be around the same cost as a mortgage. So it is absolutely pointless to stay in the shithole I live in.
Man I moved houses at the end of last November and boy did I luck out that the weather wasn't shit quite yet. Maybe this doesn't apply to your situation, but where I live the outside can kill you from exposure 3-5 months out of the year.
Maybe you can do a month to month agreement until you find a place. I bought a house back in June and that worked for me.
