Make them fire you. Potential law suit down the road. Handymen make good money under the table. Get your name out on FB and Nextdoor. Consider moving to Texas or Florida where this shit is illegal.

Gotcha, I meant FB marketplace. Just make a fake account that you use to sell things. Avoid all the social crap. I sell custom woodworking stuff on there every week.
Also Craigslist is decent. Nothing like it used to be.
Nextdoor is good in my area because there’s always a neighbor posting about “can anyone recommend a person to do (fill in the blank)”. You can pop in and reply to them.
