It's happening; My job is forcing me out due to the "vaccine" mandate. I will be fired or whatever in early December.

Anyone know anyone around the Pittsburgh/Erie area that needs help? I'm an electronic technician, a veteran, great with my hands, and willing to learn whatever.

Everywhere everyone is saying they can't find employees.

Sooner or later, employers are going to have to find a way to forget all about the vaccine.

Perhaps it's time to set yourself up as an independent private consultant, available for work on contract.

I am seeing this in forestry. Big TIMOs and REITs are hemorrhaging experienced staff and had a hard time recruiting techs (shocker when their office are still closed and everything is remote, rough way to train field staff). All that work still needs doing though and they're turning to small, private consultants and contractors and asking us to do more work than we can possible handle.

This is the reality - they have to find a work around to stay in business.

Thanks, good advice all around. Added it to my list of options.

I have been thinking of just that as a workaround to transition away from my company.

Through most of my working career I worked in business for myself, in one form or another. Sometimes it's hard, but sometimes it can be very lucrative indeed. I only work that way now. When, where, and how I want to.

If you are even merely competent at what you do you should be just fine.
