That's only useful on windows systems. I prefer OPs Alt+F4 shortcut because it is cross platform and works on my Linux machine as well. In fact Linux's superior thread management really shines here and you can see the increased responsiveness by how quickly it reacts.

I've seen what Kali does to an ancient "piece of crap" laptop people gave away because it ran windows too slow.
