Agreed. The media absolutely controls the narrative. But the biggest problem is the Federal Reserve. This single entity controls the economy of the country and most of the world, and their dark tendrils have reached into every facet of life. They literally create dollars from nothing, do what they want with it, and put it on our tab. They funnel money to puppets that do their bidding, and deny or destroy those that don't. They own not only the vast majority of the media. They own or control everything from the drug companies to food production not to mention our institutions and politicians, all made possible because they control the currency. Nothing will change until we have real money and full control of it. It's telling how few politicians will even broach the subject.
