People had far more freedoms under feudalism than they do today. They also worked far less and it was easier to own property. Kings and Lords had a duty to their people since they owned their estates and thus had skin in the game. Modern leaders are internationalists with no stake in the countries they rule. It's just a poor and self-defeating analogy, since we are trying to fight against this liberal democratic system not prop it up with lies about the past.
