Aj gets it. I've been calling this out for a while.
We are a realm being ruled over by several "lords". Donald Trump is one of these "lords" from an "ancient house" with lots of resources and prestige. These lords have their children married into the families of other lords in order to create pacts and such.
Why do you think Trump gave his daughter to Jared Kushner? It was a political marriage, uniting the Trump and Kushner families. Or do you really believe that Trump's daughter just happened to meet Kushner, fall in love with him, and marry him on her own will? Really?
People had far more freedoms under feudalism than they do today. They also worked far less and it was easier to own property. Kings and Lords had a duty to their people since they owned their estates and thus had skin in the game. Modern leaders are internationalists with no stake in the countries they rule.
It's just a poor and self-defeating analogy, since we are trying to fight against this liberal democratic system not prop it up with lies about the past.

If only arranged marriage was common among all classes, it's a much healthier system that discourages premarital sex.
You're probably right. There's a reason that most of humanity operated this way throughout history, and eventually the most powerful groups would form the "nobility" as a new class that is privileged to these things, while the serfs are not.
If you look at the family tree of our Presidents and highest ranking politicians, they're all from like three dynasties. It's amazing. The USA was formed specifically to break away from that bullshit.
Underrated comment. It really is dynastic feudalism all over again.
