Yup. It's plain as day.
I never understood that saying. “Plain as day” sometimes it’s foggy. Then it’s not so clear
"Sweat like a pig" Pigs don't sweat.
"work like a dog" Dogs are often quite content to lie about all day, hence, the expression, "Lie like a dog" might make more sense except dogs are mostly quite honest in behavior.
"People drive on parkways, but park in driveways" is one that always comes to mind for me that is illogical.
