Just use a sorta of shorthand.

Say "yes honey" which means "I am not listening to you and don't give a fuck about any of that but I want to fondle your titties later"

I tell my woman exactly that.... to myself. Lol. For real, though, I find it useful to listen to my wife's rants. Gives me useful insight into her mental health, and keeps her bonded to me. A man should be able to handle what's on his plate, while listening to what's on his woman's.
