Now it's barely a week. I just went shopping there for the first time in a few months and was pretty surprised at how expensive their meats were - their beef is almost double the price from a few months ago. There's a specific lo-mein noodle frozen dinner that I always used to buy as a lazy meal option because it was cheap - about $3 - now it's almost $6. And my store was completely out of their brand of beef jerky.

Anyone else shocked at how high meat prices are getting - especially beef?

I've stopped buying certain types and cuts of meat due to the price increase, which in my opinion has been wholly engineered by Biden and his globalist masters. The Democrats have created these shortages with their bad decisions. I'm eating a lot of ground beef and sausage these days. Even chicken is becoming expensive.

We switched to getting a deep freezer and buying 1/4 freshly butchered beef cow, ends up being about $3 to $4 a pound, and they individually package each cut, but you have to get on a waiting list.

I grew up in the country. Split a cow with 3 other families, same with a pig, and my dad and brother hunted deer. Kept us fed all year along with our garden and apple trees.

We have 4 kids. Our grocery bill is massive….

God bless you, fella. if you aren't rich, i know the worry you have.

Thank you, my friend. We aren’t rich, and are tightening the belt now, but I’m also making some other financial moves to do more with what we have…. We will be okay, better than many others in similar situations.

growing up, meal time was no joke. nothing wasted and seconds only went to the older ones who expended more energy with work/chores. we said grace and kissed and told our parents "i love you" before bed each night. i myself didn't have a brrod, but i can remember my dad's face some mornings, with his workboots between his feet as he sat in his chair. the thousand-yard stare. i'd ask him, "you okay?" and he'd mutter "the salt mine."

Shocked? NO. I expected this and $4.00-$5.00 fuel when the 2020 election was Fixed. This IS nothing but a Liberal/communist Coup. to make America kneel to Communism. I put $50 in my tank this week and i have actually bought running cars for $50.

you'll eat insects and like it goy

How is the hunting scene in your area? Taking up hunting can save you a lot of money. One or two bullets equals a lot of meat.

I'm paying about $4.50 US a pound for organic meats farm direct. It's a bit more than supermarket meats, but those are feedlot meats. Bacon price is about the same for the organic, but that's much lower than supermarket bacon around here.

One thing I noticed, there was a big spike in food prices through the spring, everything here almost doubled, however, a month later everything was on sale, and after the sale discount, actual prices were about the same as they were before the price hikes.

My guess is people stopped buying for a while, or transportation of inventory was restored, or some such.

Fact is, North America produces a massive food surplus every year, regardless of the various regional environmental impacts interrupting local food production. Overall we produce far more than we eat. Price hikes are simply not sustainable in the face of that. Now we are entering the fall harvest season, they have to move mountains of food through the system.

Look for stuff to be on sale now, and stock up for the winter.

Gas, rent, food, goods, services; it is all going up.

But no worries, J-Pow and the Federal Reserve say it is only transitory!

Yeah and inflation totally isn’t an issue according to our masters.
