I have to work with Taiwan and China. The Taiwanese are actually human beings. But China is dirt cheap.
Same product from Taiwan factory will cost 5x what the same product from the same company's Chinese factory. The Taiwanese one will be far superior, but for 20% of the cost, not worth it. It's superior, but the failure rate isn't anywhere near 80%.

Taiwan makes an okay guitar. Chinese instruments are hot trash, anything worth half a damn is made after hours for sale on the black market as a 'Chibson.'
