I have to work with Taiwan and China. The Taiwanese are actually human beings. But China is dirt cheap.
Same product from Taiwan factory will cost 5x what the same product from the same company's Chinese factory. The Taiwanese one will be far superior, but for 20% of the cost, not worth it. It's superior, but the failure rate isn't anywhere near 80%.

now it is trying to squeeze as much money out of it as it can AND also use it to harrass china
From USA point of view is a win win situation, once it becomes unworkable, taiwan will be dumped as a whore of no value
