The unspoken facts: afghan forces had more causalities annually than we did in 20 years, their fighter were under funded, over worked, over stressed and often on deployment lasting much longer than ours or put right back in for another tour with no breaks. Even in the cities they had a traditionalistic culture and we were imposing globo-homo reprogramming on their entire society from the top down. Would you fight for the interests of a puppet government that wants your children to be gay and your daughter to be feminists?
