I eat 1700 calories
Probably too low. That's a good way to lose muscle instead of fat. But you do you. Also if you think I'm being an asshole by telling you how it is then this is going to be impossible for you
What you need to do is find your BMR (There are many calculators, just pick one they'll all be close) and your TDEE. You should eat higher than your BMR and lower than your TDEE otherwise you fuck with your adrenal system and you will start to burn muscle over fat. The corner cases would be people on extreme cuts who have a team behind them with macro-nutrient partitioning and timing. That's not you. So above BMR and below TDEE.
Uhh, thanks for the TDEE bit. I use Cronometer to input my calories and calculate my bmr. I eat enough protein to maintain muscle but I will now start doing TDEE calculations too.
Protein alone isn't enough to retain muscle. You still need calories. Where they're from is irrelevant but you need the calories.
I use an app to track calories
Why? They're inaccurate as fuck. is how I do it. Just make an excel sheet like that for yourself. Excel is simple as fuck.
is my first day doing this on Sept 10 2019. The difference is quite big.
Holy bacon, that’s a nice sheet. I am upset about coronometer being inaccurate, many people recommended it to me. I’m going to make an excel sheet tomorrow fuck the app
