Really, the stingy fucking owner passing on their virtue signalling bullshit back onto the customers. Essentially with sales tax + this fee, your total post bill tax is 20% .... Owner could have just wrapped into the cost, but no, fuck the wait staff, we can add it in as a tertiary cost instead because we despise our customers so much

20 years ago, I was a server at a Denny's in South Carolina. I used to do the church groups on Sundays and they always tipped me (a guy) rather well. But when the women took those groups, tips were very poor. The manager loved having me come in on Sundays as the female staff did all they could to get out of doing these groups, and I didn't blame them at all.

ever get a tract in lieu of tip? or " I gave to the Lord today"? The really insulting ones look like a folded bill and have bible verses on the inside. How ignorant do you have to be to not know that would piss someone off?

I worked with a guy, Larry. We were work buddies and would joke around every night. He started telling cheapskates that his name was (my name) and to be sure to ask for him when they came back. Sure enough, the manager would say I got a call party, Id walk up to a table of people I didnt recognize and they'd be like "youre not so and so"? Then one time Larry walked by and they said "there he is!'. I figured out what was happening. Fukn guy got me good.
