And that redpill is "I won't work for you again."

It's kind of difficult to describe how hard this seems to hit people, because it's a blindside at least from their perspective, I think. They will hire me to do a job, and I'll do it. And again, without trying to sound full of myself, I get a lot of compliments about my work. I've had clients tell me I am the most pleasant person they have ever met, I made their dreams come true, fluffy stuff like that. I pride myself on providing good customer service as well as quality work. I'm a good tradesman but I am also a good businessman.

But as I do jobs, I notice things about people. A woman wanted me to build her an office in her backyard, which I did, but in doing so I found out she was a liberal dyke who hates the patriarchy. I replaced another woman's stairs and she clearly had TDS. I installed a new doorway for some guy and overheard him cackling while watching the Daily Show or some similar shit.

Each one of these people, and others, were ecstatic with my work. And they always had some other project they wanted me to look at or work on. And when they started talking about it, I would always interrupt them and tell them whatever they were asking, the answer was no.

I'm always cordial at worst. I try to build a genuine report with everyone of my clients, because I know how it is dealing with some contractors. So I imagine it is like a friend suddenly telling you "I don't want to speak to you again."

You would think some of them would get irate or angry, but the response is always "What did I do?" or something along those lines. And I explain to them I heard or saw such and such, and it is against what I believe, and because I am essentially honorable I fulfilled my word, but beyond that it would feel immoral for me to engage in any more business with them.

And when I drop that on them, you can see it in their face how much of an impact it has on them. Some simply accept it and move on, others try to negotiate thinking I want more money, but I've never once had one of them try to shame me or otherwise argue that what I was saying or doing is wrong. They are always wounded by it though.

At the end of the day, the answer is always no. And nothing they do or say from that point will convince me otherwise. And it is the one redpill I've used that seems to have even a glimmer of hope as far as changing how a hardcore leftie thinks.

I think there are two main factors to it. The first is I have demonstrated a unique ability to which they are being denied access to, not because of who they are or where they are from, but because of their beliefs and how they think. The second is that these people are protest-capitalism-with-my-diamond-encrusted-iPhone bourgeoisie, and when they see this guy literally bleeding to perfect what is basically an aesthetic ideal on their part, they are forced to realize that being a glorified clerk who makes woke tweets does not make them working class.

Anyway. I'm pretty drunk and kind of forgot where I was going with this. I think I've made at least some people realize that one day, it's going to be people like me and Commissar Tyrone running the show if they get the paradise they keep preaching for. Or something like that at least, something that forces them to engage in some actual introspection. And that makes me a little happy.

This is great. You've stumbled on to some of the most effective persuasion imaginable.

Liberals understand deep down that they are parasitical and ineffective. That's why they spend all their time trying to undermine people who are competent and building themselves up not for having and skills, but for having money and the popular opinions. You're striking at the very heart of this. All they know about you is that you're hard working and competent, things they inherently look up to but know they will never be. They respect you. When you refuse to serve them in exchange for the only thing they have over you, money, they know they can't do the work you do and it hits them like a ton of bricks, they can no longer hide from their own uselessness. They have no basis to laugh off your opinion because you've proven yourself.

Keep it up my man.

I bet youre not that good. Come build me a new pumphouse to prove me wrong.

[–] 11 pts

I'm going to build you a new pumphouse AND put triple stage crown in your house. On top of that, your dog house will look so good that by the time I'm done with it, you'll be renting it out to a dozen mexicans.

Bet that'll shut you up.

[–] 0 pt

build him the kind of "pump house" that you can invite a crew over to pump his demanding doubting ass to death!

Do your former customers write bad reviews to punish you?

[–] 1 pt (edited )

I've gotten some bad reviews before but they don't seem to be an issue. Never anything related to me refusing to do another project, and generally for problems outside of my control.

A woman wanted me to restore a room she had, but I told her from the onset the crown molding she had was an older style that was going to be really hard to replicate/I couldn't fabricate. She OK'd the work anyway, but got irate when I told her the soonest any shop could get the material was three months (it was some random ass place like 1300 miles away), not to mention they wanted a ridiculous amount of money. I honestly put in a lot of hours trying to hunt that shit down but was kind of SOL without a time machine.

She libeled me at that point and put a complaint in with the board that got shot down. It was one of those things I could have sued her, but proving damages would have been basically impossible. That was probably my worst experience.

Build me a deck, I'll tell you fun facts about Hitler and the Nazis and give you real beers... he won't comeback either. He'll make a thread about 'some of you are too hardcore' hehehe. You see that lampshade? Made of a 100% pure kike. Just kidding that was all lies and heres a phonebook of printouts for you to take home and study further. No, I don't do that, but one time a guy working on my pool brought up chemtrails and well, I haven't seen him in a few years now.

I installed a new doorway for some guy and overheard him cackling while watching the Daily Show or some similar shit.

Hey, now, wait a minute...

I sometimes watch a Daily Show clip and laugh (sometimes, that shit is even posted, here). Sometimes it's laughing at how utterly stupid some of their talking points are. Sometimes it is because they said or did something genuinely funny.

If you came into my house, you'd find nothing religious or political. I have no decorations. My living room is empty. I don't have my degrees and certifications up on the walls, either. No pictures. Nothing. My brother calls me a psychopath but I don't want anything anywhere. The house, the trim, the colors, and the furnishings are the decorations, to me.

But if we talked the briefest of moments, you may hear some of my political leanings/ideologies. I am not shy about how much I entirely loathe the MSM or how much of a warmongering, crony, bullshit-capitalist country the US is. You'd need to just say or do something and I would not be shy about it.

So how would you figure out if I was "one of us"?

[–] 2 pts

I forget who said the quote, but very badly paraphrased, it is something like "Now, people don't laugh at comedy because it is funny. They laugh at comedy because it is an affirmation of their beliefs; their laughter is a form of acceptance in the expectation of the acceptance of others."

I am probably butchering the shit out of that. My point is though it's pretty easy to tell when someone is part of the "audience" even if they're sitting on the couch. It's unnatural. It almost seems forced, like their not laughing at it as much as they want other people to know they are laughing. I used cackling to describe is very specifically.

I mean he was clearly a dipshit too. It's not like he showed me his gun collection where he had 3D printed the receivers and I was like "Oh but you laughed at the nigger on the TV so fuck you." Lol.

Makes sense. Honestly, it has been many months since I've seen a clip. I'm watching "More Plates More Dates" review of an 18 year hold girl taking SARMs (basically roids) to get muscles.

That's pretty weird, too.

Why am I so concerned about this? Because if I run across "one of us" in the wild and I missed out on a great convo, I wouldn't know any better. Worse, what if I was misunderstood as a Auth-Leftist moron by "one of us"? That would be the worse. I don't give a shit about what Auth-Leftists and progressives think. But I do care about what level-headed, well-educated folks like you would think. People you view as your peers mean something when they have an opinion.

It's like having a gambling addiction and your friends from church find out you're not living a good life. You care about what people at church think.

Sorry for the long-winded reply.

Keep doing what you do. I did enjoy your write-up. Your approach is like the Cake-Baker dude - you may get sued one day. Good luck with that.

I have no decorations.

LEFTIST!

[–] 2 pts

Based. I wish I could control myself as well as you do.

[–] 9 pts

I just got to a point where no one can touch me, in a sense. I found the quality of life I am willing to accept, figured out a way to sustain it regardless of what anyone else says, and I just kind of do what I want.

It makes things really clear.

[–] 3 pts

Same. It's a good feeling, huh? Welcome to the party. There's more of us than you may realize. Kind'a nice knowing that there are over 7 billion people on the planet and you don't owe any of them a goddamm thing.

This is the euphoric state of reaching the highest heights of your craft. It brings you freedom.

It's a shame that video games hijack this drive in men and keeps them in a faux sense of achievement feedback loop.

Thanks for the post.

If you let your enemies keep their money... you win. What kind of autism is this?

[–] 2 pts

Money is a hell of an influencer, but it's hardly the most powerful.

100 dollars to get jabbed prove me wrong

Except most of them got jabbed for free.

Ignorance is a bitch?

You mean that useless fiat currency the feds been printing like junk mail? yeah let them keep that pretty soon it wont feed them either lol

You're confused.

Consider that he has more potential jobs than time to actually do.

[–] 1 pt

then you expand... and take on employees.

[–] 2 pts

I've been in business. I've had staff. There is no question that staff is the single most hardest and risky part of being in businesses.

It's quite valid to avoid that sht so

[–] 1 pt

Sounds like the D.E.N.N.I.S. system.

Just focus on your craft. If you are self employed you are gold. If you are an employee you will have to eat shit with a smile.

[–] 1 pt

Im a self employed tradie too. There was one job i had an argument with a customer over Trump v Hillary. 8.5k on the line. Guy was some boomer cuck who was pro Hillary. Got so heated he went inside to cool off. Finished the job and still got paid.

Another was some lady living in the city. Bashing Trump to no end. Was about to blast her but my apprentice was looking at me from the hallway mouthing the words 'don't ' and shaking his head. 11k was riding on this job. I let that one go but regret it. Another boomer.

Only last week I was trying to redpill another boomer about ww2 and who really won. Just as it was getting juicy the guy went into shut down (insert windows theme) changed the subject and walked away.

Bloody boomers.
