Who said turning your back. Just because you don't play their game doesn't mean your not playing a different one. If you can convince enough people to your side could make them play yours instead.

How many people are able to live on barter only in the US? How many can afford to never use dollars or bank accounts? And who are those people if there is even such a thing?
Truth is we've become soft. In fact, one way or another, we probably won't be around to find out. Folks lived without all kinds of stuff for a long time. Given enough pressure it's pretty radical what small groups of people can do. Always remember, the United States was born because less than 10% of the people decided they had had enough. As for finding those people, well that's a few steps ahead, right now everyone needs to start picking their hill.
