Watching it with him now. Something doesn’t seem right. Light skinned mom and dad. Two white skinned kids. White skinned grandpa - what could be wrong.

The white skinned dad looks off. He’s doesn’t look like he fits with the rest of the family. Looks really strange in farm clothes. Something is just…off.

Producer of Lassie, Robert Maxwell’s full last name was Joffe. He also produced Superman, What sort of surname is Joffe? IMO it is the directors and producers that ensure that the material is subversive. Joffe also wrote some lassie and Superman episodes.

My new favorite game is guess the surname origins. Today I leaned in 1941 the feds had broke up an NBC radio monopoly so Blue Network was born, which later became ABC. ((Joffe)) worked at blue network. Following the nose can be educational.
