The problem with boomers is they grew up in such a better environment and their egos prevent them from seeing that millenials have to work several times harder than they did just to be able to earn a very basic living with very small savings. Boomer times - jobs paid more, living costs lower, more small businesses, more real vacation time, no technology and bosses expecting you to work after you got home, the actual concept of a "retirement" plan, more white people and white coworkers who had a sense of duty, stronger families and more people with inheritance from their parents, a savings account that wouldn't be wiped out by a single ambulance ride, normal education tuition rates, a future to work toward rather than the economic collapse we're facing... Boomers bitch and bitch about how all ya gotta do is pull yerself up by yor bootstraps and they say this shit while they're getting full pension and retirement to sit on their ass for the rest of their life and go fishing. This isn't the 1970's. Those of us who work hard as hell struggle to keep up with inflation, higher costs, paying all the welfare and handouts, paying for all your medicare costs and Social Security (which we'll get the crumbs of), and dealing with insane amounts of stress due to technology and constant distractions. Not to mention abusive corporations which have destroyed the middle class and most small businesses. Maybe step out of your fantasy and into younger people's shoes for once and see that we don't have a bright rewarding future ahead of us as you did when you were working.
