Last week my fiance died, took his own life. He was a man of many talents, he did so many different jobs throughout his short life including a commerical fisherman, marine, cop, and more. I was in love with him and wanted to have his children. Please promise your loved ones you will never take your own life.

Nothing ever really dies. Enjoy thoughts of him but don't be burdened by the loss. Be happy he was here, not sad he's gone. Don't forget to say his name out loud. It matters.

The real pandemic is suicidal young men. We should all build them up when we see them, inspire and empower them. The cost to do this is minimal at best. The cost for avoiding it is awfully clear to see.

We all have a responsibility to be strong and to spread that to those around us.

I agree very much with you. However I also want to say, try to recognize if someone needs help you can't give. I wish I had seen that.

You didn't miss something if you didn't know what to look for. He would have wanted you to be happy, I'm sure. You will get through this.

Don't blame yourself. Not everything is visible or knowable. Seek help if you need any.
