Now let's do the 'used car market'.
I think what we're seeing is the very ugly side of supply chain inflation. A Tacoma truck with 200,000 miles should NOT cost 15,000, and yet it does. Because we have so much printed money with nowhere for it to go, now everything is going up in price
Holy fuck, that's insane. I can get a used people carried 60-80k miles 2008-11 reg for about 3k. Hatchbacks for 1300-3000 similar year and mileage. The US seems mad.
In my area, a used Subaru with broken clutch, broken struts, busted out calipers, and everything esssentially broken, and 200,000 miles still costs 6,000
Half of all us dollars were printed in one year. Guess which year
I checked the price of my old beater last night. It was booking for $11 a few years ago (high miles, gadgets are all broke) and now it’s $1500.
Carbureted? Old trucks and tractors without all the computers are hot right now too.
